Course Overview

Ventout’s Counseling Psychology Internship is a comprehensive, skill-based, and supervisor-led program designed for psychology students seeking to develop clinical skills and build a professional portfolio all from the comfort of their homes.

This internship integrates theoretical knowledge, therapy techniques, ethical foundations, case studies, and live supervision into a structured 2 month program. The course is guided by experienced faculty and practicing psychologists.

What Will You Learn?

Orientation + Ethics in Practice: Understanding clinical roles, boundaries, confidentiality, internship expectations.
Introduction to Clinical Psychology & Diagnosis: Evolution of the field, diagnostic systems (DSM-5-TR & ICD-11), and clinical assessment.
Neurodevelopmental & Neurocognitive Disorders: Identify, assess, and understand these disorders across populations.
Personality Disorders & Therapeutic Approaches: Cluster A, B, C; counseling techniques (CBT, DBT, supportive therapy).
Psychological Assessment Tools: Practice with MMPI, Beck’s Inventory, DASS-21, etc.
Role Plays & Case Discussions: Supervised practice in mock sessions and group-based clinical reflection.
Case Studies & Report Writing (5+ Required): Intake forms, MSEs, diagnostic summaries, therapy plans, progress notes.
Portfolio Compilation + Final Viva: Present clinical work, reflective journal, and receive expert feedback.
