How Ventoutt Creates and Reviews Its Content
Editorial Policy
Ventoutt publishes content about emotional wellbeing, relationships, and mental health support. Because these topics affect real decisions people make about their own care, this page explains who writes our content, how we source it, who checks it, and what to do if we get something wrong.
1. Who Writes for Ventoutt
Our content is written by our mental wellness coaches, who hold MA or PhD qualifications in psychology and have at least three years of relevant experience, and by members of our editorial and founding team where the subject is the platform itself rather than psychological content.
Every article carries a named author with a linked profile showing their qualification and what they work on. We do not publish anonymously, and we do not use generic bylines such as “the Ventoutt team” on psychological content.
2. How We Choose What to Write About
Topics come from what people actually bring to our coaches and listeners, and from the questions people search for. We write about a topic when we can add something specific and useful, and we do not publish content on a subject simply because it attracts traffic.
Some subjects we deliberately do not write about. We do not publish content designed to help someone monitor a partner, or content framing psychological techniques as tactics for influencing another person’s behaviour. These decisions are made once and applied consistently.
3. How We Handle Research and Statistics
Every factual claim in our content must trace to a primary source. Before we publish a statistic or a research finding, we record six things: the primary source, the study design, the sample size and population, the publication year, what the finding shows, and what it does not show.
That last point is not optional. A statistic presented without its limitation is easy to misread, and on these topics being misread has consequences. When we cite research, the limitation is published alongside the finding, not buried in a footnote.
We link to the original paper or dataset, never to a secondary article about it. If we cannot verify a claim against its primary source, we do not publish it — even if it appears widely elsewhere. Every published claim carries a visible last-verified date and is re-checked at least once a year.
4. Review Before Publication
Content is reviewed at one of two levels depending on what it covers.
Expert Review is carried out by a qualified mental wellness coach, who checks that the content describes coaching scope, professional qualifications, and role boundaries accurately.
Clinical review is carried out by a licensed counselor and applies to content covering emotional distress, when to seek licensed care, and safety routing. Our clinical review policy explains this in detail.
A reviewer can require changes, and content does not publish until those changes are made. Every reviewed page shows who reviewed it, their qualification, and the date.
5. The Boundary We Hold
Ventoutt coaching is non-clinical. Our content does not diagnose, does not treat, and is not a substitute for licensed care. We do not publish symptom checklists or self-assessment scores, because an article cannot tell you what is happening to you, and content that implies otherwise is doing something it is not equipped to do.
Where content touches on distress, it describes experiences and how they affect daily functioning, and it points toward professional support — including support that is not ours.
6. Keeping Content Current
Pages showing prices, availability, or service details are checked whenever those things change. Pages citing research or referencing other services are reviewed at least quarterly. Every page shows when it was published and when it was last updated, and those dates are real rather than automatically refreshed.
7. Corrections
If we publish something inaccurate, we correct it. Substantive corrections — anything affecting a factual claim, a statistic, or guidance about care — are noted on the page with the date and what changed. Minor edits for clarity or typography are not noted.
If you think something we have published is wrong, email help@ventoutt.com. We would rather hear it from you than leave it up.
8. Commercial Independence
Ventoutt is a commercial company and our content mentions our services. We are explicit about two things.
First, our comparison content states plainly when another service is the better answer, including when what someone needs is licensed clinical care that we are not the right provider for. Second, we do not accept payment to feature, rank, or recommend any third-party service in our content. Where a coach recommends licensed therapy, Ventoutt does not take a commission on independently provided therapy unless a different arrangement is clearly disclosed.
9. How We Use AI
We use AI tools to help with research and drafting. Every published piece is reviewed and approved by the named human author before publication. We do not publish AI-generated content under a person’s name without that person having worked on it and agreed to it.
